Sitting in the front row of a Fashion Show, next to Anna Wintour. The face of a fashion campaign. Clothing Line in your own name for an international brand. Fashion Bloggers - they are doing well. They are everywhere. How did they get so influential? Are Fashion Bloggers real journalists and should we take them seriously?

The line between Fashion Blogger and journalist has started to blur - who knows - it might even disappear. Basically Fashion Bloggers are running they're own magazines - they are they're own models, photographers, editors and journalists.
For many, what started as a hobby has offered a lot of possibilities in the Fashion field. It is easy to relate to a fashion blogger - blogger is somewhere between a celebrity and the girl/boy next door.
Robin Givhan, special correspondent for style and culture for Newsweek and The Daily Beast, recently discussed her dismay regarding this issue with the Toronto Star.
Givhan, who was the first fashion writer to win the Pulitzer Prize for criticism, states that bloggers lack the appropriate insight and experience when it comes to critiquing designer collections.
"It's got to be more than just ‘I loved it or I hated it,' " Givhan told the paper. "You’ve got to explain your thinking-- how you got there. Criticism is not personal opinion. At its best it’s opinion based on a set of facts that are set in context. I’ve seen shows that I've loved but I knew that critically they were not great. And vice versa."
Style blogs are lovely to look at and they provide a platform for anyone to join in on the conversation, but are bloggers compromising the integrity of true fashion criticism? Can a fashion blogger ever be a seriously taken journalist? Should we consider Fashion Bloggers as legit journalists?
Tavi Gevinson, the founder of The Style Rookie, wasn't the most popular girl at fashion week -- everyone had a thing or two to say about her age, the writing on her blog and her personal style. This makes us wonder, when bloggers sit in the front row of a fashion show, should we consider them as celebrities or as fashion professionals?
